Definition of Balance Diagrams

It is the process of consistency checking between different diagrams or schemes of a system.

These diagrams or schemes are the results of modeling a system using certain modeling tools.

A system can be modeled using multiple modeling tools ( DFD, DER, DD, DTE, etc.) Each tool results in one or more diagrams (or schematics) that represent the complete system or part of it.

Each diagram "helps" the other, allowing a better understanding of the part of the system they model.

The balancing between diagrams, is the task of checking the consistency between the different diagrams of the system.The balancing can be done both manually and automatically using a computer.When all the diagrams are check, it is said that the diagrams are balanced.

The balancing of diagrams allows to discover and correct errors, inconsistencies or missing.
