User Session Definition

(user session).Period of uptime that a user (with a unique IP address) spends on a website.The number of user sessions on a site is used to determine the amount of traffic a website reaches.User can re-enter the same site and the same user session will be considered, provided that the user enters within a period of time determined by the site administrator.

Other ways to measure the traffic of a website are: unique visitors, hits, page views and click-through.
