In general, a new release of Fedora comes out every six months.Fedora is a derivation of the original Red Hat Linux distribution, and tries to replace the "home" distributions of Red Hat Linux.
Fedora Features
* Fedora supports x86, x86-64 and PowerPC architectures.
* Supports networks installed over HTTP, FTP and NFS.
* The default desktop environment is GNOME, and includes KDE in some versions.
* The buteo manager is GNU GRUB by default.
* Fedora is designed to be easy to install and configure, including installers and graphic tools for this.
* The default file system is ext3 on LVM.
* It only contains a small sel software package equation (about 8 thousand), but there are several stores available with extra software to complete this distribution, but many are not official Fedora (and even some may infringe patents).
* Your browser by default it is Firefox from its Fedora Core 3 version and higher
* Includes the OpenOffice.org office suite from its version 4.
